Single Door IR Sensor for LED Drivers – Automatic LED Control
This single door IR sensor provides automatic lighting activation when a cabinet door opens and turns off the LED strip when the door is closed. Designed for wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and storage units, it delivers a convenient, energy-saving solution with a discreet, modern design.
The sensor operates on 12V or 24V, supporting up to 60W at 12V and 100W at 24V. It is fully compatible with any 24V non-dimmable LED driver. While it offers plug-and-play integration with cabinet LED drivers, it can also be used with standard non-dimmable LED drivers by modifying the wiring. Ensure the connected LED load does not exceed the sensor’s maximum rating.
How to Connect the Sensor
1. Using a Cabinet LED Driver:
The sensor input plug connects directly to one of the cabinet LED driver's output ports.
2. Using a Standard Non-Dimmable LED Driver:
The sensor input plug must be removed, and the wires manually connected to the output terminals of the LED driver. For a simpler setup, a plug adapter such as the HL-CB1M 1m Plug & Wire Set can be used instead of cutting the plug.
Connecting the Sensor to the LED Strip
The sensor’s output comes with a pre-installed plug, which does not connect directly to LED strips. To complete the setup:
- Use a plug adapter such as the HL-CB1M 1m Plug & Wire Set for a simple, plug-and-play connection.
- Alternatively, cut the output plug and manually wire it to the LED strip.
Installation Details
This sensor enables a quick installation with cabinet LED drivers while allowing a manual wiring option for standard LED drivers. It includes a 2m cable for flexible positioning. The built-in infrared detection automatically switches the LED strip on and off depending on door movement, ensuring efficient energy use.
