Installation and Safety Notes:
- Avoid running at maximum load: While each channel supports up to 5A, it is recommended not to load the controller to its maximum capacity (60A) to ensure long-term reliability. Running the controller near its limit can lead to overheating and may reduce the lifespan of the components.
- Distribute load across multiple controllers: For installations that require higher power, we recommend using multiple controllers to share the load. This will help avoid overloading any single unit and maintain stable performance.
- Ventilation is critical: Ensure that the controller is installed in a well-ventilated area. High current operation can cause heat buildup, and proper airflow is essential to prevent overheating. Overheating could result in reduced performance or the controller's automatic shutdown to protect itself.
- Input voltage: 12-24V DC; ensure your power supply is correctly rated to handle the total load.
- Use of terminal resistors: For long signal lines or installations with more than 32 decoders, install a 0.25W 90-120Ω terminal resistor at the end of each DMX signal line to ensure signal integrity.
