Important Usage Note: The RGBW COB LED Strip-to-Strip Connector can handle a maximum current of 3.5A per contact. Due to the common anode contact, the total current through the connector is limited to 3.5A, equating to a maximum load of 84 watts at 24V. For instance, with a 15W/m COB RGBW LED strip, the connector can be used to join up to 5 metres of the strip. It should be used at the end of a 5m strip to connect another 5m strip, but it is not suitable for use at the beginning of a 10m length to join the remaining 9m.
Caution for Installation: Inexperienced handling can damage the LED strip when using these connectors for COB or SMD strips. It is essential to test the connector beforehand to understand its proper use. Ensure the cut point copper of the section is correctly aligned with the clamping terminal. Incorrect insertion depth can cause a short circuit of some colours on the strip. Proper insertion depth is critical to avoid damaging the LED strip. Practice and testing will help achieve the correct technique.
