Important Usage Note: This connector can handle a maximum current of 3.5A per contact. Due to the common anode contact, the total current through the connector is limited to 3.5A, which equates to a maximum load of 84 watts at 24V. For example, with a 15W/m COB RGBW LED strip, this connector can be used to join up to 5 metres of the strip. It should be used at the end of a 5m strip to connect another 5m strip but is not suitable for use at the beginning of a 10m length to join the remaining 9m.
Caution for Installation: Inexperienced handling can damage the LED strip when using these connectors for COB strips. It is essential to test the connector beforehand to understand its proper use. Ensure the cut point copper of the section is correctly aligned with the clamping terminal. Incorrect insertion depth can cause a short circuit of some colours on the strip. Proper insertion depth is critical to avoid damaging the LED strip. Practice and testing will help achieve the correct technique.
