Tuya Zigbee Gateway for Smart LED Control | WG-Z

The WG-Z is a compact Zigbee 3.0 gateway that connects your Zigbee lighting controllers to your WiFi network, enabling full smart home integration through the Tuya Smart Life app. It’s the essential bridge between Zigbee devices and your smartphone, allowing remote access, app control, and voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This gateway is required when using Zigbee-based LED controllers such as our WZ5 or V5-L(WZ) models. Without a Zigbee hub, these devices cannot connect to your app, smart speaker, or automation routines. The WG-Z makes this possible — simply plug it in, connect it to your router, and add it to the Tuya app.

It supports up to 128 Zigbee devices, including LED controllers, dimmers, drivers, and sensors. Compatible with both Zigbee and Bluetooth Mesh sub-devices, it enables a reliable, responsive network ideal for smart residential or commercial lighting systems.

When to Use WG-Z vs WT5 or V5-L(WT)
If your controller is Zigbee-only (e.g. WZ5 or V5-L(WZ)), you need the WG-Z to access smart features.
If you prefer WiFi-only control, consider the WT5 or V5-L(WT), which connect directly to the Tuya app and voice assistants — no hub needed.
